Cayos Limones · Uninhabited cay
Limones Cays
The Limones Cays aren’t one island but a small cluster of them, close enough together that boats can hop between two or three in the space of an afternoon. It’s the archipelago at its most photogenic: tiny circles of white sand ringed by palm trees, surrounded by water so clear you can see the bottom from the boat before you even jump in.
Island-hopping done right
Because the cays sit close together, this is one of the best places in San Blas to string together multiple short stops — swim off one cay, re-board the boat for a five-minute ride, and swim off the next. VIP and premium day-tour itineraries tend to favor Limones for exactly this reason: it packs a lot of “wow” into a relatively short stretch of the day.
Good to know
- Best for: photographers, travelers who want to see several distinct islands in one day rather than settling on one beach.
- Facilities: none — these are uninhabited cays, so bring your own water and sun protection.
- Water clarity: consistently among the best in the archipelago, even compared to other San Blas islands.
