VIP Day Tour
Our most-booked tour — snorkeling, a Guna community visit, and more
This is the tour most first-time visitors end up choosing, and it’s easy to see why: it takes everything solid about the Classic day and adds the two experiences people ask for most — real guided snorkeling and a genuine visit to a Guna community.
What makes VIP different (not just a name)
We’re upfront about this because not every operator is: the VIP tour has a real, different itinerary from our Classic package, not just a higher price tag on the same route. Specifically:
- ✅ Everything in the Classic Day Tour — transport, the Natural Pool, lunch
- ✅ Guided reef snorkeling, typically over the shipwreck reef at Perro Chico — a shallow, beginner-friendly artificial reef covered in coral and reef fish
- ✅ A stop at a Guna community, where you can see molas made and sold directly by local artisans
- ✅ More stops overall than the Classic itinerary
- ⛔ Guna Yala community entry tax (paid separately, in cash — see our FAQ for the exact amount)
A typical day
Same reliable structure as every San Blas day tour: 5:00–5:45 AM pickup in Panama City, a scenic 2.5-hour 4x4 crossing through Guna Yala, then a speedboat to the islands. From there, expect the shipwreck snorkel, the Natural Pool, the Guna community stop, and lunch on the beach — roughly 14 hours door-to-door.
Why travelers pick VIP over Classic
If snorkeling over a real shipwreck reef and getting a genuine (not staged) look at Guna daily life both sound appealing, the modest price difference over the Classic tour is worth it for most travelers — which is exactly why this is our best-selling package. Prefer a completely different route with its own islands? Our Isla Diablo Tour is a genuinely separate itinerary, not a VIP with another name.
