Perro Grande Island

As the name suggests (“big dog” in Spanish, part of the Isla Perro group), Perro Grande is noticeably more spacious than many of San Blas’s tiny cays — enough room for genuinely wide stretches of white sand instead of a narrow strip you have to share with everyone else on the boat.

The water here is calm and consistently turquoise, well-suited for relaxed swimming rather than snorkeling drama — think floating and unwinding more than chasing fish.
